    I have the same problem. I had JASC Paint Shop Pro 5 and updated to 8.1 (without uninstalling 5; it is much faster to start up). But I now have the problem exactly as you describe it. I have uninstalled 8.1 and reinstalled. The problem persists. Anyone know what to do with this? TeeJay
