Thanks, that worked. When I did it I browed to a dir too deep. You just point it at windows/appl./outlook. I orginally pointed it at the next directory, mail.

That didn't seem to help. I did fix the problem by deleting the microsoft network from control panel/network. When I deleted it it couldnt find protman.dos. I found it on the copy of my old drive and moved it over.

My system keeps freezing up and has to be rebooted. As a symptom, every ten seconds or so the mouse cursor turns busy. I beleieve it is writing to the user.dat file. I tried stopping all the tasks running in the task manager, without any improvement.
What the heck is it doing???
