I'm wondering if anybody has any experience with a Sonicwall Pro VX site to site VPN connection through an ISA server on one end. We're looking to setup in this scenario and I just want to anticipate any problems before we go ahead.
Thanks!
Hello everyone, in running through a keyword search on the forum there are some great ideas, but I don't think any of them fall into my boat.
Overview:
Server1 - NT 4.0 Backoffice Exchange 5.5 Latest SP
Server2 - 2k Server Exchange 5.5 Latest SP
Server1 has the IMS and handles all inbound and...
We're running into a crazy problem with lock files, below is the synopsis from one of my programmers who can't figure out what, or how to get past BDE's inability to NOT use its lock file.
The borland BDE is the single connection point for all of our borland apps to the oracle database.
It...
Thanks everyone, finally figured it out. Two fold problem, NetBIOS was uninstalled and the local network policy was wiped clean. Everything set back in place and my network is back up and running.
Thanks again!
Oh yeah, I've done all the "simple" stuff rebooting, etc. What its starting to look like is server manager is loosing the servers, I took one out of the domain and re-added it, and it worked, for about 30 minutes, and then went kaputt again. I'm thinking that my whole network might...
Actually logging onto the servers works perfectly fine, for local, and domain users, and the machines themselves work fine when running programs or even access resources on other machines. It really doesn't make any sense how and why this does and doesn't work. I'm at a total loss for any...
I have two win2k adv. server computers that all of a sudden stopped accepting connections from network computers, however they still connect/talk whatever have you to any machine in the network.
When I go from my computer to one of the 2 servers in question windows returns the following...
Thanks everyone for your help, I actually figured out that it was a disk space problem. Darn Exchange moved the files to the wrong drive on the machine!
Thanks again everyone
Leave it to Microsoft to give me a cryptic error message - anyway we have 2 exchange servers, one acts as the main server handling all incoming and outgoing mail. The second server is a backup and its main position is to hold mailboxes that have overflowed the capacity of machine #1. To make a...
In looking through the forum, everyone is talking about the Move Server Wizard. When I run it to attempt a move from server A to server B I recieve a message stating "The mailbox is currently being moved by another administrator. You must wait for this operation to complete before moving...
I have been getting an event viewer error id 2 for the last month and no matter what I try it will not quit. Error ID 2 is: IIS Logging was unable to create the directory. The data is in the error.
Of course there is no extended information about the error message in the event log.
If...
I'm new to this whole Windows DNS thing, but our corporate office wants to settle on one platform. Thus I have to setup DNS on Win 2k Adv. Server. I believe everything is setup properly, but I cannot validate requests from it. Whenever I go in the properties of my DNS server and hit the...
I'm sure this is very easy and I'm totally overlooking the switch, but we have a few users who would like our receptionist to be able to view their calendars within Outlook. I have tried going to open other users's files, however I receive an error message that states: "Unable to display...
Tom, thanks for your reply. I talked to our application programers and we're confused. Do you need specific information on the application that we're running over the SQL backend, or the SQL server properties itself?
One of our DBA's in house suggested clustering the key indexes in the...
A customer of our recently updated their SQL 6.5 to 7.0. They are now noticing that any transactions are running roughly 5 times slower than the same transactions against 6.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
