    Object Alignment

I have used the 'snap to grid' to align my text boxes, string fields etc. and sized them the same. All seems to align nicely in the preview but when I open up the report in a browser, it doesn't align very well. How can I change this? Thanks. (CR9)

    Display multiple parameter values

I have a parameter that allows multiple values to be selected, but on the report I only see the first value that is selected. How do I display multiple values? Thank you.

    Table Design

I haven't been able to find a way to design / insert a 'table' format into a crystal report. I would like it to look like like a table with rows and columns in a grid. Is this possible without just putting borders around cells?

    Table Linking

I'm using Crystal 9 & field definition files for creation of reports. When I link 2 table definition files, the 'Right Outer Join' & 'Full Outer Join' are greyed out in the 'Link Option'. Can anyone tell what the criteria would be to enable these options? Thank you.

    Sub Report

Please would someone be so kind as to help me through the process of linking a sub report to the main report. I am using Crystal 9 and I have two seperate queries that are linked by a common parameter value. Thank you.

    TopN & CrossTab

I don't seem to be able to open my report in a web browser with a combination of a TopN on a crosstab. Using Crystal 9. I have one crosstab on my report which opens in a web browser, but when I add a TopN, I get an error.

    Sorting

Brian, that does the same as moving the groups around / inserting a higher group. I'll get the date id in the correct order but then my other group by totals are grouped incorrectly.

    Sorting

Madawc, I'm using Crystal 9. I have tried inserting a higher group - which works but then my other totals don't add up correctly. Also, when I go to the sort expert, if I select a group, the up and down buttons are greyed out and so is the Ascending and Descending options. Please excuse my...

    Sorting

Ian, how do I sort by a formula? This is my scenario: I have 2 sorts on my report but the field in my details section is a DateID. I'd like to sort on this Date ID and not by higher groups. I hope that's clear enough.

    Sorting

Crystal sorts by group first and then by fields selected. Is there a way of manipulating the sort to have a particular field sort higher than the group sort?

    TopN

Ido, thanks for your help. I did try this but it's not working for my situation. Would anyone be able to help with a formula that would calculate the top 10 agents in a crosstab graph? I'm using Crystal 9 and field definition files. My cross-tab shows lost calls for each media, against agent...

    TopN

It does not seem possible to place a TopN on a crosstab table or graph - is this true?
  13. diannelight

    Top N

Ken, yes - one record per agent.
  14. diannelight

    Top N

No, only 2 agents have made calls - the rest of the agents in the group have their names shown shown on the graph but no calls against them.
  15. diannelight

    Top N

Ken, the field should not be summed but when I select Top N in the Chart Expert, Data Tab - I only have the option: Top N based on 'sum' of Calls Made. There is no option for me to remove the 'sum'. There is only one table in the report.

    Top N

Ken, I've taken out the 'Don't Summarize' option. Unfortunately, I can't figure how it's calculated it but the figures are now way out - it still shows data for the agents that previously had data and the names of the agents in the group without data.
  17. diannelight

    Top N

The 'Show values' is 'Calls Made' with the 'Don't Summarize' box selected. The Agent Name has a group sort of Top N based on 'sum of Calls Made' where N is 10 , and 'Include Ties' selected (although I have tried de-selecting this too).
  18. diannelight

    Top N

Ken, The zero values are showing on the graphs ie. Graph shows top 10 agent names even if they have not made any calls. I would like to just see those that have data. I have not included any summaries on these 'made calls', just 'Made Calls'/ Agent name - the data is correct. Thanks again.

    Top N

Ken, I'm not sure that I understand what you mean. When I create a count, it only counts the records not the calls made per agent (which I expect). I have tried a running total but that just gives me the same figures as previously and still shows the agent names with zero values. Please explain...

    Top N

LB / Ken, Thank you for your replies. I checked my report and did not have a TopN set for the entire report. Decided to re-create the report from scratch. It now does show the expected results for each graph. However, I don't want to see the agent names that have zero values against them. In...
