Maybe you're best bet would be to layer the desired text directly into the Flash itself ... This wouldn't need to be a static solution if the text was being pulled from a file or database ... Just a thought ...
Seems to me that if you override the 'Action' tag of your form by using a non-Submit button with a custom script ending with form.submit(), then you could set a flag somewhere in there that your Body Unload() event could check for ... e.g.

Instead of "alt" in your <a> tag, try using "title", eg.
<a href="link.htm" title="Like this?">test this</a>
Note that while this is supported for both text and pictures in IE5 (you'll have to test it on lower versions), neither will work in NN4 or...

Thanks for the suggestion! I suppose that this is the best we can get with NN4 ... I still prefer embedding the rollover behaviours in the <img> tag instead of the <a> tag for the cleanest effect and have confirmed that this will work in NN6, but as many people are still using NN4 or...

Is it possible to have a rollover image with no link, so that there is no click event, just a rollover event? When I set the href="#" in IE it works ok, but NN will display an hourglass which makes you think something is happenning, when in fact nothing is ... My preference would be...
