I had the same problem and downloaded the SPYBOT which seemed to cause even more problems. Did clear for awhile but eventually had to restore and reload the system. Looks like GATOR was the culprit that caused the problem.

recently installed a PC with XP and Office 2000..... User opens GroupWise 5.5 that has an attachment created in Office 2000 (WORD) and the computer hangs. The event log puts out the following information:

The following info prints out:
Grpwise.exe has generated erros and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is generated.

Having problems with at least a half dozen users who are crashing when trying to send an email. We have investigated and at this time unable to determine what can be causing this problem. No error messages appear.
We feel like this may be linked to installed ZENWORKS on the PC's.

I recently installed PC Anywhere version 10.5 on my Windows 2000 Desktop and had the same problem. It actually corrupted both my adapter and Monitor drivers. Had to go to the internet and download the drivers for adapter and monitor and redo on my desktop. This worked.
We have point to point T1 on campus cable, no public network. T1 is Adtran HDSL, works fine. Problem is 1721 routers won't talk to one another, can't ping.
We believe it is a timming issue, internal or line?? Any help would be appreciated.
