I am trying to setup my first IIS 6 website and the notes I am looking at tell me I need to confgure the application pool.
However, I can't highlight the application pool, right click and click properties becasue the application pool option does not exist. I only have web sites and web service...
As of Thursday morning, a number of my 350 users are experiencing Outlook freezes when the auto archiving function runs (on windows XP machines).
As a stop gap I have switched off the archive function but that is not a permanent solution as my Exchange 2000 server will fill up in days.
I had...
Damn it.... Thank you PH, I knew it would be something very simple but I bet I would have been sitting for another hour and not have spotted that myself :(
I have a few java patches that I need to put in a folder to make some fingerprint recognition devices work. Sadly the folder in question is named j2re1.4.2_10
I have tried a batch file as both:-
Copy q:<file name> c:\program files\java\j2re1.4.2_10\lib\ext
and
copy q:\<file name>...
Does anyone know what has happened to Tiko?
I have a Tiko Classic340 and the damned thing will not join the domain. tikocorp.com seems to have vanished from the world.
I am getting very confused. All of the dodgy queues appear to have valid emails in them. I was under the impression that there should only be five or six queues and not that Exchange would create a queue for each domain name that each email was sent to.
Am I barking or am I correct.
Ok, I think I need to re-ask this question in "Email issues" as, if you save the attachment to any folder and then print, you get just the one copy. If you print whilst the attachment is just a temporary file, you get 8 copies.
Ahh, Ok, I understand. Have looked at what you suggested and sadly everything is set to full page print. am currently investigating if the problem persists if the email attachement is saved to a folder first or if it only happens when opened directly within the email.
I'll get back shortly.
As I can't find anywhere in Photo Editor to set it to print "contact sheets" I will say no. Is that buried in the registry somewhere, as I can't see it as an option in "properties
I have a bizarre problem with one machine. The user gets jpeg attachments to some of his emails. When he prints them in Microsoft Photo Editor (Windows XP Pro) using the print icon, they print out 8 times. If he uses the File/Print menu the default number of copies is 1.
I have asked him to...
Playing with profiles is not something I want to try as it applies to anybody with a roaming profile that logs in to that machine. I did wonder if I should be asking this question in the W2K Pro forum as it looks like it is something to do with the way W2K deals with profiles. Local profiles...
I had a user complaining of a slow pc so I did a full repair install of W2K. Now when the user tries to open Outlook 2003 it says that Exchange is offline or unavailable. Now this is not true as if I log in as the administrator, Outlook opens just fine. I tried giving the user full admin...
Ok, I have looked at all the threads and talked to the engineer who is actually monitoring the exchange server and whilst the emails from the additionally created queues no longer get sent, new queues are still being added into the system.
I am told that we cannot prevent that from happening...
Sory, that would have been helpful <blush>

Bruce. We are having a relay problem. I have checked through the document on the URL you gave and the setup of my E2K server follows that to the letter. However, I still have about another 7 queue's from various people that are using my server as a relay. However, when I try to telnet into...
Hmm, ok, I have missed something somewhere. The guy is using XP so already has the management console so I simly gave him the iis.msc but it will not load. Keeps saying there is a fault. Does he need to install IIS on XP to get the span in to load?
