I couldn't disable thermal shutdown on the Proliant 800 because it happens before you can get into BIOS. I imagine it's the same on the 1600, as they are similar. I would call up the parts place I referred to earlier in the thread and ask for a fan that has a pinout like I described.
Did you ever resolve this? I have tried 2 routers (with up to date firmware) and am experiencing the same thing. I have a Mac/PC wired/wireless network and it seems as though the router kicks the clients off since I can't log into it. Upon router reboot everything is ok for a fews hours...
I'm having this same problem, but I've tried a new router and it still happens. I have a 7 client Mac/PC wired/wireless network with DSL. Basically, every day or so when I open a web browser, it just hangs. I can't log into the router, so I power cycle it and it works. I don't have to power...
Atlantisnet, I got mine from shopspares.com. If you call and ask for Andy at 877-271-5356, mention Mike Siegel and this fan issue and he'll know exactly what you're talking about.
The problem with this whole issue is that we discovered that the Compaq part number 122633 is the same for many...
As a said in my post, make sure you check the wires that are going to the pin connector. Some fans have 3 black, 1 red, 1 yellow (the right one in my case) and some just have 1 black, 1 yellow, 1 red (the wrong one in my case). I would check this before replacing a system board.
I just had this issue with replacing a fan in a Proliant 800. The fan worked but I continued to get the 1611 error and could not boot past it. Apparently when you order part number 122633 there are different manufacturers and amperages available. The ones I've seen are .49A,.80A, and .90A from...
Mmount-
No provider (that I've ever seen) has a Service Level Agreement for DSL whether it be residential or business, so there will never be a guarantee on bandwidth or quality. Do they not offer capped T1s in your area? Still won't be as cheap as any DSL, but reliable.
Will the IPO...
Talbotpat- I wouldn't call the G.711 calls ugly, but like I said it wasn't digital quality. This was a Cisco-based client site of a vendor that was used as a real-world demo for us. A few years from now we may not be having this conversation, but I am typically late to jump on tech bandwagons...
In my experience with IP quality, even uncompressed voice (64k) still sounds sibilant. You hear it with S's and Z's and other consonants that make similar sounds. It's just not as clear as a digital PBX. Why should we be taking a step back in quality in the office environment? Maybe the cell...
The reason I ask is I'm not really thrilled with VOIP quality at this point and I'd like to go with a traditional digital system, so you're saying IPoffice can be configured to not use IP at all?
thanks for the info.
I'm researching IPOffice for my company and it was unclear to me whether the voice traffic is transmitted using IP or not. Or is it basically a PBX with IP capabilities?
thanks
I have a group of remote users using Win2000 & Netscreen Remote VPN with Win2000 Server and Netscreen XP5 appliance on my end. A few dial-up and that's never been an issue. A couple had broadband and it worked right off the bat. A couple of weeks ago, in the middle of the day, one remote user...
