Last night my PC locked up and when I finally got it to reboot I got a Dialog box on my screen with the following message : "To test your e-mail connection, please enter your e-mail password". There was a box for me to enter the password and two buttons "OK" and "Cancel". The title bar of the...
I have some VBA which successfully creates a pivot table but three of the fields use custom lists for a sort order. How do I get my pivot table to sort the agerange, servrange and salrange fields according to my custom lists as defined in Tools > Options > Custom Lists? Any help would be...
That sounds like a much better method, any tips on how to go about it? What I want to end up with is the contents of the string that is found in a string variable and all the above rows deleted.
Thanks
I have an excel spreadsheet containing a list of text strings in column A. What I want to do is write a loop to delete all rows until I find one that matches a specific pattern. The pattern is only part of the text string, not the whole line. I have this so far...
Can anyone tell me what this executable is please? My friends virus checker picked up a virus last week which it seems to have successfully removed (unfortunately he didn't make a note of the virus name) but since then on boot up he gets a message saying the hlcwshz.exe is not found on the C...
Couldn't find any WINSERVS files at all, but downloaded Spybot and it picked a couple of things up. Hopefully that's the last I'll see of that pesky window. cheers!

I have a table of flexitime data which contains four fields AM Time In, AM Time Out, PM Time In and PM Time Out. All the fields are of type Date/Time and are formatted as Short Date so they appear as 08:45, 13:56, etc
What I need to do with a query is find out the number of hours and minutes...
Thanks everyone who responded, we have resolved the problem. No errors were found with the memory, but running the scanreg /fix worked. The system now scans the registry at boot without error.
Has anyone seen this problem before, and have any idea how to fix it? Two of my friends running Windows 98 SE are experiencing this problem - we suspect a possible virus.
On start up I get a blue screen with messages on the bottom saying "Backing up registry" and "Restoring...
