Hi Lalrl,
in April 2006 /// announced that they will introduce wireless LAN IP phones.
1.step - Spectra Link access points and phones will be implemented
2.step - /// will develop it's own system
No way, V5.1 and V5.2 are not supported.
The only interface that is supported is CAS, take a look at "CAS extension EL7" in Alex documentation.
I played with EL7 in combination with UMUX1500 multiplexer(Ascom - Keymile) and it works OK.

-Put MFU board in same LIM where TLU76/3 is.
-Don't forget to include A5 signal in signalling protocol.(D6 in VARO). A5 signal is caller ID request, if you are using CCITT R2 MFC signalling.
-Do not use simplified MFC signalling (D7 in VARI).
regards

In my opinion, the only way to stop data traffic is to know which telephone numbers belong to internet providers and make restriction on dialing of this numbers.
Maybe, if you are using ISDN towards Telecom, you could play with bearer parameter of the route (BCAP), or with bearer conversion...
Hi Extension Manager !
You should put GJUL4 boards in same position in both LIMs. Once I did not take care about this rule and I could not do the backup on HDU. Backup always stopped at one of the program units.
Try it yourself...
Hi Arnoldnt,
Main difference between MD and BP is capacity. BP can have maximum 200 extensions, in a hotel version you can put 288 extensions, because room-to-room traffic is very low.
Trunks: officially 60 trunks are maximum, but I have a 90+ trunk system working OK, the only limitation is max...
My experience with certification:
In 2001/2002 Ericsson had cooperation with VUE (www.vue.com) and a lot of exams were offered, including MD110, BP250, applications,...etc.
I have passed the following:
10-026 MD110 BC11-Basic 1
10-027 MD110 BC11-Basic 2
10-028 MD110 BC11-Install Large &...
1)You can allways upgrade BC6 to latest version - it is BC11 today. Approximatelly 10% of boards will be changed, and new software added - it will cost you less than a new exchange.
The only problem is that DC/DC converters in BC6 exchange are "phased out" - Ericsson does not make them...
