    I have already tested 2 (1 brand new Benq CD-rom and 1 LG CD Recorder)other optical devices that work on DMA mode in my 1 combo, and it´s the same thing. Infortunately there´s no bios update for the HP main-board. Maybe it´s some kind of bug with the chipset.

    That´s not the case, the CD-rom was working in DMA mode in another comp., so I think the problem is driver related. Thanks for answering anyway !

    The Sims 2 and DirectX9c.

    Hi, I´ve instaled The Sims 2, the original, but everytime I try to run it I get an error asking me to install DirectX9c, wich is already installed !!! I´m running WinXP-Pro + SP1 +Last video drivers (Nvidia-Omega). Other games like Far Cry, NFSU, runs without problems. Thanks for any help !
