I've got two Networked Magix connected via a T1 PTP circuit, and they share one Amanda 8 port Windows Voice Mail which is connected to one Analog Card.
We are replacing the Magix that has the Amanda VM with a Cisco solution. Now I need to move the Amanda to the other location that still has the...
Also we are finding out that Verizon and Alltel have had issues on their Centrex lines. Caller will dial the number, caller hears 2 ring-back tones b4 the phone actually starts ringing, on top of that the Panasonic will light up the line-light on the phone before the phone rings (due to the...
Sorry BTW, YES it's a plain ole vanilla T1 with no Caller ID in service for 15+ years with no changes...

Not to be too lazy/stupid myself, in WSPM what are the menu items I'm looking to drill down to? What do you suggest I raise the FRL to? I think the pause is slight (200 ms?), maybe adding a digit might do the trick if I need to...

Ok, I thought it was a version 6, I must be wrong. I cannot access it remotely.
BTW, it's a T1 trunk with 24 channels...
However, How does the Legend or Magix handle carrier access codes when dialing a particular number?
Doesn't the Merlin Magix have ARS?
Thanx a bunch!

I have a Merlin Magix 6.0 with T1 and 30 4400series phones, and 16 analog stations. Recently just had Paetec require a PIN code for LD calls. Now we want the PIN codes removed from the fax machine extensions.
Can someone please let me know how to program ARS (auto route selection) for...
I want to forward extension 685 on one Merlin Magix to an extension (186) on a networked Magix at different location. Could anyone tell me the best procedure to forwarding analog extensions (on a OTR016)?

Not to be rude in all of this, but it would be much easier to get a TDA50 with a TVA50. You now have a real office phone system. The 824 was designed more for the home and very small offices with limited requirements for a phone system.
Just my 2c worth.

I agree with TelecomAvatar, make sure you have the latest version, and since you have the retention set at 5 days, I would wait 7 to be sure the deleted mssgs are actually cleared.

On the TDA's (USA versions) you can set the ringing preferences for both incoming and outgoing. If you have a display phone, just press the prog key and scroll up-down until you "Line Prefer In". Play with this until you achieve the desired results.

My suggestion is you download the user guides, and the Feature Manual. In them you'll see where you set DoNotDisturb, Fwd/Bsy/NoAns, FWD all Calls, and so on.
On a display phone it's easier since you can see what your doing.
Also in the Programmator Software, Under the extensions settings, you...
At the last webinar for the TDA50G, it was stated that SIP Faxing is unreliable and it's better to use other means (POTS, eFax...).

It takes at least 1-2 rings for caller id to come through.
But I agree, go to the LCOT Card properties (under 1.1) and near the bottom you'll see the settings. Play with them until the customer is happy!

It would seem there was possible something in the programming, maybe as rivet said, it was in the ARS table. If all else fails, do a backup, a factory default, and test it.

I suggest creating a group mailbox (same as the current ICD group#), then put the message wait lamp on all the phones in that ICD group.

Nevermind, I searched the threads and found that the answer was;
Sys Program -> Start -> Extensions -> ServiceObserver -> Oberserver or Members
There ya go
Try using intercepts for voice mail rather than FWD-BSY-NA to vmail.
When there is no new message in the mbox, you will hear the 1-2-dial tone.
When there's a new message, you'll hear 1-2, 1-2, dial tone.
Or get the MWL card...
Good luck.
