Web Desktop Manager - Problems logging in

FYI - Had a chat with a very nice man from RIM Canada and we came to the conclusion that removing and re-adding to the BES was the only fix... ...Tsk! Regards, Tony.

How can I get a balanced disk subsystem on my i570?

We have 3 mirrored pairs of disks in our subsystem that were systematically running at between 3 and 5 times more busy than all the others. To alleviate this we ran a trace (TRCASPBAL SET(*ON) TIMLMT(1440)) over a 24 hour period, then immediately ran an ASP balance (STRASPBAL TYPE(*USAGE)...

Web Desktop Manager - Problems logging in

Hello, I've seen several threads regarding this problem but none that describe the problem I am getting exactly. We're piloting the Web Desktop Manager (1.0) amongst 7 of us here, 5 can log in fine but myself and another user cannot "The Internet ID or Password is not correct. Please re-enter."...

Prevent Copying Email Sent to Other Email Clients

I believe you're right and it only works on a Notes to Notes basis. There's no built in function to facilitate other email clients but might be possible with some scripting... sorry, can't help you with that. Regards, Tony.

Sort by subject in folders on 8.0.1 client

Folders were created with an older version of Notes, upgrade folder design and everthing's rosy! Regards, Tony.

Sort by subject in folders on 8.0.1 client

Really? That's weird. Most of our pilot group are on 8.0.1 but I have the 8.0.2 client and the problem exists on both. Regards, Tony.

Sort by subject in folders on 8.0.1 client

I can sort by subject in my inbox, sent mail, trash, etc. but not in any of my folders and there doesn't seem to be an option to change this. I know I can change the design of the folder but I don't want to have to do this. We're running a pilot of Notes 8 and this has been raised by numerous...

    Out of Office behaviour

We're currently runnung a pilot on Domino/Notes 8.0.1 and I have examples of Out of Office behaving differently. One of our users, who is currently out of the office, has his OOO set so that an OOO message is sent for every mail he receives, regardless of whether that user has already been...

    BlackBerry Manager Error

If you were deleting only from the BES and Not Domino you should be able to "complete" the delete process by deleting the user's state database from the Domino server (usually under your Notes data directory \BES\state\xxxxxxxx.nsf) Regards, Tony.

    Mirrored configuration vs RAID5

We have 30 mirrored drives (60 in total) so there's no issue making up parity sets for RAID. It seems that RAID5 is likely offer worse performance than mirroring (4 IOs for every logical write using RAID5 compared to 2 using RAID1) so that may not be the route I want to take. Thanks for taking...

    Mirrored configuration vs RAID5

We currently have a mirrored configuration in our IBM i570 (V5R4M0) but are very tight on space. Would it be easy enough to "switch" to RAID so we gain a whole load of storage? We also have several prgrams that are extremely I/O intensive so I am wary of a performance decrease... is RAID...

    Add footer to all emails

We're on Domino version 7.0.1 but isn't the disclaimer only applied to SMTP mails? Regards, Tony.

    Lotus Notes archiving not behaving

Thanks for the reply but I think you're missing the point... there is no criterea other than those mails selected by the user! I just want to archive those emails that I have selected, regardless of how old, big or anything else. Regards, Tony.

    Domino Health/Monitoring Software

WRKDOMSVR from an OS400 command line will list all your domino servers, from there you can display the domino console amongst other things. You'll have to restrict the things that you're not prepared to let your operator have authority to... i.e. End Server, etc. Regards, Tony.

    Add footer to all emails

What's the easiest and most efficient way of adding a footer to all emails (one of those "don't print, protect the environment" ones). Presumably I need to change the design of the "Memo" form but I have no Domino design skills so don't really know where to start. (I do have the designer...

    Lotus Notes archiving not behaving

I cannot get archiving to work if I set the selection criterea to selected by user in the archive settings. It goes through the motions (history shows selecting, copying, deleting and truncating documents) but then I have a message in the status that says no documents were archived. It's as if...

    Domino Server fails to start

Sorted, no thanks to the completely misleading error messages. Turns out the notes.ini was corrupt and had replaced the Directory=pathname with weird charaters. Regards, Tony.

    Domino Server fails to start

    Welcome Back Message

Hi Kerrieregan, There isn't an easy way round this without recoding the agent, not a good idea. There has to be a trade-off, we have changed the default frequency to be every hour on the understanding that the notified list will be empty if absent for one day only. I seem to recall from the...

Hi Geier, Thanks alot, can read it fine using WRKLNK. The NSD file didn't tell me a gret deal to be honest but I found the missing entries from the log file in the cosole log. You deserve a star :0) Regards, Tony.
