Does anyone know if Oracle Secure Backup can backup over NDMP 64bit inodes?
We are getting DUPLICATE INODE entry failures and I belive it is b/c Oracle Secure Backup filehistory can only use 32bit inodes. ie the first 32bits which may or maynot be the same.
I am trying to create some utf8 datasets on both windows and linux using python. I am able to create my datasets with linux just fine, but not windows.
I am able to create a dir with utf8 chars, but not files where the filename has the same utf8 symbol.
Here is my function to create a utf8...
Personally, I would look at a Snap Server, http://www.snapserver.com. With that being said it may be more money than you are looking at spending. Look at the Snap Server 210 or 410.
Basically, the replication application I am using can tell if the file has changed and replicate the file if the file has changed. What it can not do is see if just the permissions have changed? Is there a way to determine if only the permissions have changed?
The SnapServer 2200 OS runs in flash so changing the hard drives should not make the server unresponsive. However, if SnapAssist and SnapServer Manager can not find the SnapServer sounds like there might be a bigger issue on hand. Have you contacted support to see if the server is still under...
Type "cat /etc/.nv6_home"
Did any support org walk you through installing manually? I t sounds like someone performed a manual install from the info I have so far. Which mean that you will have to do a manual un-install.
Have you contact SnapSupport to help you get this cleared up?

Are you joining as the Domain Administrator or another user?
IF you can, join as the Domain Administrator and see if you get the same error or any error?
You can try using the domain name before the username.
username=SAMBASERVER\myuser
The same concept as passing the domain name in a net use
net use * \\sambaserver\share /u:DOMAINNAME\username *
Depends on the NAS. If it is something like a GuardianOS SnapServer you can use SnapEDR to replicate. Otherwise, you should be able to use BackupExec either with a mapped drive to each NAS or install the client agent.
Or, you can use rsync with your own scripts, or bat files to do this.
For each type of programming language there is a specific file to define the highlighting and other language nuances. Look in the syntax directory of your vim install.
You can look at SnapServers that have expansion capabilities such as the SnapServer520 and the new SnapServer650.
The SnapServers have integrated dual 10/100/1000GB nics so you can bond them and / or eventually upgrade to 1000GB to help with performance to stream video.
Sounds like your root filesystem might be full. If you root filesystem is full then most services can not start. Have you contacted Tech Support? They can help you diagnose the issue.
The root filesystem on a SnapServer is a separate filesystem from the user data volumes.
