We just had a big one down here in Southern California. My DSL lines are up and phones can receive outside calls but I don't get a dial tone when I lift the receiver. I have rebooted the system and still nothing....any ideas?
I have a weird thing going on with my system. Its only happening to the receptionist's phone.
When a call comes in and she puts it on hold and then tries to transfer it all of the buttons on the phone go dead...the calls continue to show coming in or being on hold but ALL of the buttons are...
Thanks for the quick response. That works out perfectly since I won't need to buy any equipment to expand.
I'm looking to get two more numbers from the phone company to add to our rollover...actually its a little more complicated.
Three companies all in the same office with one recptionist...
I would like to add a couple more incoming phone lines to my system but unfortunately the system was put in before I started here so I have no idea what we really have.
I took a look in the phone closet and we have the following Norstar components:
(1)M8X24 unit with (1)NT5B26 and (1)NT5B24DC...
Thank you for the info. It worked...though my boss told me to turn that feature back on again after I was done. Either way things are back the way they should be.
Somehow I have managed to switch the programming on two of my phones. I had one set plugged in and then switched it out with another set to test the reason why I wasn't getting a dial tone and then I switched the first set back in.....now the programming on the two phone sets has switched...
Thanks to both of you. The operator configuaration (f982) did it. For some reason it was set to another exention....what makes that even odder is the fact that I was the only person transfered to the correct extension before. Either way its fixed now so I guess that doesn't really matter :)...
When someone calls into my phone system(or goes into voice mail from their desk) and hits 0 to get the receptionist it goes to a different extention than the receptionist.
(oddly enough it does this from everyone's phone except mine)
Does anyone know if this is a voice mail setting or a phone...
