    Delay in Accessing Hard drive

    Check all the active processes. AAtools 5.50 has a nice process monitor. You will see what is happening during this 1 min period. My guess is that it is not HDD, but some process that eats all your resources

    It is 30GB IBM made (I think 7200 rpm). Pc is Compaq Armada E500 notebook one year old. Regarding the virus - I have Norton Antivirus 2002 with the latest virus definition. Someone has had a guess that the Hard Drive is not spinning up to speed correctly. I am not sure that it's the reason...
