NAV keeps having autoprotection changed on boot-hijack log

Thanks again guys. Everything is set back up. This thing really made a mess of any protection you tried to set up on your computer. Except for Hijack this, just about every AV or Trojan hunter would not work properly. We know what to look for now, hopefully we can help any others with this...

NAV keeps having autoprotection changed on boot-hijack log

I think I'm just about there using all of your help. The link Diogenes10 gave me, http://216.239.37.104/search?q=cache:xfVfZ7h8LvsJ:www.resellerratings.com/forum/printthread.php%3Fthreadid%3D97015+fservice.exe&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 had most of the information I needed to root out the poltergeist...

Odd things occuring are Trojanhunter program is unable to run. Same with Norton AV which is at this moment half installed. If I try to install NAV alone from my systemworks CD, it tells me the admin has restrictions that dont allow this type of install. Well, I am the admin. Trendmicro...

NAV keeps having autoprotection changed on boot-hijack log

I'm using Norton Systemworks which is NAV2003 on my XP machine. I have autoprotect checked, but when I log in it shows an X on the icon. It does a checking message 1 of 1, then I'm able to change it back to autoprotect enabled. I can't scan my computer or get live updates. The live update...

    Windows Explorer not updating

Win98SE does a few odd things on my users computers. When a CD is added, often it will not show up whether you click the drive it's in or not. Other times it may show up with an identical drive letter showing the same CD-Rom twice on two Drive D's. It doesn't seem tor refresh correctly and is...

Windows NT 4.0 Hotfix Installation did not complete

Thanks AkosB We were having the same problems on Windows NT 4.0 SP6A workstations. I installed the security patch which came back with the errors. Added the missing directory and log and restarted the machine and the patch had successfully installed.

    Tape Engine is stopped

Sorry David, looks like we stumped the panel this time! I've never gotten an answer to this through Computer Associates tech support or through this forum. Guess we have to live with the multi-try get lucky one time approach!

    Tape Engine is stopped

I am sooooooooooooo tired of receiving this message on my ArcServe 7 for Netware manager. I run the manager from an NT4.0 machine and normally I have to close down the manager and try over and over until I catch the lucky break of the tape engine not stopping. It may take me four or five times...

    Cannot restore at file level

I just merged a tape that was also not showing the individual files. The report states the merge was succesful but the files still do not show up when I do a restore by session. I have also tried the changes to the config file with no luck. My primary server that ArcServe resides on, I see...
