Barkeep41,
The recruiters at the school I attended fed me the same line of a 50k+ a year job, and I took the bait, hook, line, and sinker. Now after 2 years of contract networking experience when I send a resume in, I immediately get a phone call. Then I go to the interview where I more than...
Well, not to play devil's advocate here, but are you already in the IT field, or going through a career change?
If you're not already in the IT field and have zero practical experience, you're in for a long uphill battle.

Transcender and Self Test are owned by the same company.
To quote a friend of mine who works for Transcender:
"Transcender are for those who want the best and don't care what the price is. Self Test are for those who want a great product at an affordable price".
I personally think TS is the...
The only problem I have with posting resume's on web sites is that for the most part, the only phone calls or emails you get are from staffing firms who don't know the difference between the certifications.
I had a call from one of these firms last week. The woman told me she had a position...
I found this word document on Microsoft's web site VERY helpful when working with ES2003 in a 2K/NT network. It has great info on what you can and cannot do with NT and 2K/2K3 on the same network...

Just curious as to why you would think M$ is going to pull the 2000 track anytime soon.

Yes, it IS a brain dump.
About a year ago, there was a guy in my Win2K Server class. He used them and didn't try to hide it. Yes, he got a job before I did, and yes he probably lied his butt off to get the job. (don't know if he's still working there or not). No, he may probably never get...
Wow, that's amazing. I'm running 1.5 megs with VM Ware and so far I've run 6 virtual machines and they all run just as if they were the only one running.
60 day free trial of VPC 2004? Going to check that out right now.

Way to go Jsteve. I'm studying for 216 as we speak. Took 218 last Sunday to achieve MCSA. IMHO I thought 218 wasn't too hard. Lots of GP and GPO on it.
