Try using the UserID of admin and a blank password, this will probably sort out you problem, this assumes that you designed the report using the odbc driver that you are trying to refer to.

You can do what you want by creating a formula in your report like the one below
'<a href="' + href_field_name + '> ' + Description_of_FieldSample + '</A>'
Note the use of single quotes!!
