Today when compiling a progam with Clipper 5.2E and Blinker 7.0, I received the error message from Blinker that said:
BLINKER : 1153 : 7.0 requires a more recent version of BLXCLP52.LIB
My version of this file was:
BLXCLP52.LIB 112180 31-May-94 09:53:22
I found a newer version of this file...
SOLUTION FOUND ! ! ! ! !
The reason the attchments (pictures, document, etc) were not being sent was due to my daughter adding a software add-on called "HOT BAR".
HOT BAR let you add very nice background pictures and generally spiced up your e-mail. It also added additional links and...
Please elaborate on your "check your firewall settings".
I have turned off the Windows XP Firewall.
I am using the included firewall from Bellsouth.net DSL which did not prevent the sending of attachements as it worked prior to the SP2 upgrade.
I did check that attachements should be sent...
Since I recently upgraded my Microsoft XP Home to SP2 I have not been able to send attachments such as pictures.
This applies to orginal messages and messages that I forward. People report back to me that all they see is a
area that displays a red X placeholder with no picture.
I receive...

Outlook Exresss 6 has the following limitation as I found out on the Microsoft Web site:
Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not have one of these programs...
Ian Boys,
When you said "Ask those nice people at Blink Inc. I'm sure that they will tell you. " I could not stop laughing. They are the most anti-customer service people I have never met or talked to or gotten a reply back to my e-mail.
When I ordered my Blinker 7.0 from them, it took 9...

You know sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.
I am using Clipper 5.2E and I have just upgraded to Blinker 7. With the Blinker I see there is a function called BLICPUREL() which will release time slices back to the computer and thus not load down the cpu.
For some reason I can not...
I just purchased Blinker 7. This so my apps will work on Win XP. Previously I had Blinker 3 with its Norton Guide.
On the Blinker 7 disk I got from BLinker there are no help files nor anything like Norton Guides.
Is there a help file out there or a Norton Guide file?
I have searched but no...
Is there an easy way to convert my programs from using the DBFNTX driver to the DBFCDX driver?
Some of my applications have up to 10 dbf files opened with as many as 14 different indexs open so that the user can get that data presented in the order they want on the screen. All while scrolling...

Background:
I have an application built with Cliper 5.2D linked with Blinker 3.1 running on Windows NT currently. To solve the printer timing out, I write all to a file, then I shell out and issue the run command to "run copy xyz12345.txt lpt1"
I have coded it so that two users at the...
Any encrypt / decrypt can be broken if the person devotes enough time to it. However the average person may take a look at the DBF file and give up at that point. That being in mind, here is a simple routine to encrypt / decrypt each individual field in a DBF file on the fly...
The program that I have used with all my Clipper programs is called SNAP. Here is an overview of it:
Overview
(A short note to the faithful: those of you who have used SNAP! before may wish to turn directly to the Change History where new features in version 5.0 are summarized.)
SNAP! makes...
By the way I forgot to mention that I have a "Clipper" program I wrote in 1991 that is still running today 12 years later. It has survived the following os:

Win 3.0
Win 3.1
Win 95
Win 98
Win NT
Win 2000
Win XP
Kind of makes you wonder whose software is the more...
