Thanks for your help thus far.
There is a field on the report which identifies Hotel_Rate_Currency i.e. USD, EUR etc. then the amount.
The report is typically run each month therefore the exchange rate at the time of the month is relevant. I understand the report will never be 100% correct with...
I am using CR 9 and unfortunately I am unable to gain any access to the input side of the database. My only opportunity is to convert the supplied information.
the selected data is displayed in CR as follows
rooms duration total currency rate value
1 2 2 aud 150 300
1 1...
I have an existing report which is providing the number of hotel rooms multiplied by the duration and then by the nightly room rate which is sub totalled by company department then totalled. However the nightly currency rates are different due to different countries. I would like to convert the...
Ian,
After inserting the change to the formula a further error occurred in another formula. As there are other sub reports attached to the main report I ended up bypassing/ignoring the formulas which were dropping out, I then created my own parameters. Everything worked out in the end. Thanks...
Thank you for your replies. I understand your instructions to change the parameters to date types.
I assume you mean to inset {datefield} >= {?Fromdate} and
{datefield} >= {?Enddate} into the formula instead to the current @todate and @fordate formula. In doing that CR indicates there is no...
I am using Vr8.5
I am trying to amend a report previously written by someone else to show a particular date range.
The problem begins when the parameter asks for a date range ie From Date and To Date. The parameter has set the date value as a string. If I change the field value to date and set...
Thank you for your prompt reply. I also have a mixed text field made up of up 1- 5 words. Is there a formula to present the first letter in each word as Uppercase and the balance of the word lower case? Thank you. FYI, I am using Vr 8.5

Thank you Naith,
I changed the font to Courier and reattached the fields to the vertical alignment lines. All looked straight in the preview, however after printing the report had the same mis alignment in the same fields as above.

Peter
Thank you Naith,
There are 7 columns of information and I have running totals into 3 groups, Name, Dept, and Grand Total. Every field is right aligned and attached to the vertical line on the right. All looks aligned in the preview. When printed every column of information lines up and the Dept...
I have attached the field titles to the vertical guildlines with their little red corner marks. The report looks aligned in the preview but when printed one group row is out by approximately one character. All other columns are in line. How is this one group row aligned with the columns?
Thankyou. When adding the above new formula the DeptTotal miscalculates. The total amount is over stated by the same amount (number) as appears in the last detail line of the Name field row(s) in each Department Group. If the last amount in the details was $360, then the DeptTotal was over by...

Also when i try to sum the number field {@AccomValue} + {@IncidentalToNumber}; i am unable total it. are you able to help? thanks
I have grouped my report by Department, Cost Centre and Name and included the above numeric fields. Is there a way i can sum the value of a formula for a group. the formula field is sum of @AccomValue
