Hi, I have Win XP installed on (2) computers connected with a Router (D-Link DI-704P). I also have a cable modem connected. I am having problems accessing files between computers. The internet connection works fine on both computers. I ran the wizard on both computers - still no luck!

I did a "Repair Re-install and everything is back to normal. I just had to do a Windows Update. Thanks to all for the quick responses

What do you mean by running the WinXP setup program? Do you mean a re-install of XP from the XP CD? TIA

Unfortunately, I cannot seem to pause the screen to read it. The virus program (or whatever it is called) is definitely putting it in a infinite loop. TIA

When I manually tried to install an update (after downloading it), I get the following error: "Setup could not verify the integrity of the file update.inf. Make sure the catastrophic service is running on this computer."

It is the Security Update that is failing to install. Actually, it is this security update and (2) other XP updates that are failing. Before I did System Restore, all of these updates installed successfully. Thanks
