i need a script to search our windows 2000 dhcp server for an ip address. for instance, if given an IP address i want to return the mac address. anyone have a way to do that?
i have dhcpcmd and dhcpobjects that i'm looking into as possibilities but i'm not familiar with those enough to do...

ok. thanks. i'm running down another question about admin shares and have seemed to narrow it down to local admin permissions on the client attempting to access the admin share... maybe... so i thought i'd put in my cent (not really worth 2 i don't think ;-))

if the other domain is not trusted by the domain which includes the exchange server those users (in the non-exchange domain) will always be asked for their username/password/domain.
there is a registry hack on microsoft's site about this but it didn't work when i tried it. but i didn't care...
1) i would definately check out whether you have the system set to not automatically reboot. this will keep it from rebooting if it is software related. ie- if it is a bug it will bluescreen and give the stop code you need to fix the problem.
