Boyer11 - - -how you getting on with this mate. It is almost exactly the problem i am having - since fdisking and reinstalling w98se over the weekend, I am unable to locate my 40gb Hitachi slave drive.It shows up in BIOS, and is accessible in fdisk.
have you tried using DOS ??
navigate to directory, in DOS, where your avi files are then : -
copy /b clip1.avi+clip2.avi+clip3.avi newfile.avi
where clip1,clip2 and clip3 are your 3 avi files you want to join and newfile.avi is , well, the new file you wish to create.
one more thing - its advisable to put the larges chunk of your memory, ie your new 256mb, in slot number 1 therefore take out the 128mb stick already there, replace it with new 256mb then stick the 128mb in slot 3
