    Gregor, Thanks for the input. What I had done is what you suggested. I was really trying to avoid the force. This db has over 28 million records and I will have the same file size problem trying to dump it. Oh well, part of the job. I know what I'll be doing for the Holidays!

    bi file at 2 gig

    Running Progress V7 on SCO Openserver. The bi file has hit the 2 gig limit. Any ideas on how to get around this with out going to a backup would be very much appreciated. Can't truncate or start the database.
