    Thanks for the replys guys. Wolluf, I will try you recommended app when I get home tonight. Kocky, I had removed all visible partitions and then tried to create a new primary, but only 430 (or thereabouts) was showing as available, and not the full amount. Could this be a case for low-level...

    I have an old seagate ST3491a HDD (about 850MB I think), when I try to format using fdisk, it is only showing 430MB. This is the primary partion. There are no extended, logical or non dos partitions available. How can I see the remaining partition? Thanks in advance.
