I have had the same problem again and again!! The way in which i solve it is to make sure that both PC's are working on the same Workgroup, by changing the network ID (right click "my Computer", then Computer name Tag) then remove any bridges in the Device manager, and run the wizard...
The way top fix it is to "deinstall" windows messenger under XP SP1, either in add / remove programs, or under the new Microsoft management tab under Add / remove. Thats what i did, and now Only MSN messenger loads.
I have had the same problem... The MSN messenger and the standard messenger load up, together.. The reason is "known" to Microsoft, and can be fixed by installing SP1 ! :Ö)
