First create another coloumn that you can hide. Word XP will pick up hidden columns in excel.
If you have 6% in say cell a2, in the column you are going to hide place a formulae in b2 of =a2*100 and format this to general number formatting.
This should then allow you to bring accross the value...
It sounds to me like a browser setting issue.
Try from within IE, tools, internet options, advanced and underneath the browsing section check that "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" is unchecked.

Quit Outlook.
Start Windows Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options, and then click the View tab.
Under Advanced...
You can turn the name sugest feature off. Tools options, email options, advanced email options, but I'm not sure that you can selectivly remove email address's, but I'll keep looking
