Currently we Xcopy to our server what needs to be stored. Then using OFO to backup data off of that server works just fine. Makes life a little bit easier to deal with in a Database world.
1st; The error. Try changing out the OFO set options. Go here http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/234668.htm
2nd; If you get the OFO error that doesn't mean that the backup failed. Just means that the Open File Option was not able to apply itself to you backup data.
I had to call Veritas on this one! Make sure that you Disable these services; Remote Storage needs to be disbled and if you have a Robotic Libarary the ADIC Door Monitor will be disabled too. This should fix it.
I use 8.6, we do not use a Active Directory user account anymore. It is sometimes better to just leave the account service to Local System. Just a thought.
P.S If you change the account password there is no PASSWORD CACHE you need to clear. Just change the password, all will be fine.
