the box is not in the same domain, but when I create new login, I am able to select the domain and find the username from the drop down list, when I click OK, then I got the error message.
when I tried to create New Login using windows authentication, Name: domain\username, I got the following error:
Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: 42000)
Error 15401: Windows NT user or group 'domain\username' not found. check the name again.

The OS is Windows Server 2000. The folder name is very long, how can I delete it? I can't rename the folder. I went to the DOS prompt, and tried to rename the folder, I got the "the file name is too long" message. Is any suggestion to delete the long name folder?
I got the same error except it was complaining "The device. \Device\Harddisk3\Partition1, has a bad block." Is it mean the 4th disk is having problem in the machine?
