Start by printing your dial plan. The 4 must be being used somewhere. did u set the default numbering to setup space.
carefull if u didnt and im not sure if u have to or not I set all my systems to setup space. If you change it now it will renumber your whole switch to 7000 range.
Just thought i would let you all know this was a rel 3.0 issue. I talked to tier 3 avaya yesterday and they confirmed that tier 4 is currently working on the problem.
I did upgrade actually downgrade tp rls 2.2 reprogramed and all is as it should be.

Sounds like u lost the tip and ring pair partne phones will function without them but will have no dialtone.
Try plugging directly into the phone system.

Is the switch pre 9 if so simply put the card in the switch and Use the FORMAT command. dont remember exact command but but a format then f5 will make it obvious to you.

nothing on ext info would indicate tha this phone should ring for any other reason then it is called directly or night service is on. Print ext info on all the extensions involved...
