    Windows98 Partition size

Can anybody tell me the maximum partition size recognisable by Windows98 SE? I have a friend with a 120Gb hard disk, he's partitioned it into 4 equal sizes, but tells me that Windows98 will only see a total of about 90Gb. Thanks for any info!

Power off when shutdown in XP

In that same registry section, there's an item called 'AutoRestartShell' - anybody know whether it's safe to change the value? I'm hoping it'll prevent auto-rebooting if I set it to zero...[ponder]

    Panasonic Printer error codes

I have a Panasonic KX-P6300 laser printer. A few days ago, when I switched it on, the red 'Error' light stayed on after warm-up. When I tried to print a document, the on-screen popup said the error code was E31. Does anybody know what this means, and how to fix it? Thanks Jim

Who thinks VC++ IDE/debugger is not good?

jms137: No offence, but your post sounds like the frustrated rantings of someone who's trying to move up to a 'proper' programming language and finding it difficult. 1. I've never had the compiler or debugger point to the wrong place per se. What you have to understand is that C++ has many...

    Word 97

That wouldn't make Word try and open a document twice. There are no duplicates, all I did was move the Office start menu shortcuts to All Users.

    Word 97

I have 2 users on a WinXP HE system. I installed Office 97 as one user, and the icons were not visible when I logged on as the other user. So I dragged the Start Menu 'Microsoft Office' folder to the 'All Users' Start Menu. Now both users have access to Office programs. However, when I...
