then issue the "tftpdnld" command and view your set options. make sure you have a connection to a tftp server on your 1st lan...
The only way I know of getting 2 ip address on one interface is by cofiguring inter-vlan routing. I know the hardware configuration of you 2524 is 2 WAN, 1 Backup, I ether, 1 con, 1 aux. I think you will need another router and connect each router via serial connections...
the 56kbps is not hte speed but the clock rate. I think the physical bandwidth for a serial link is like 3-4.5 mbps. I do know that the 2500 series routers can only handle 768kbps on a WANinterface. That is why you can not have a 2500 use a full t-1 (constantly) unless there is an issue.

A directed boadcast would be used if you were sitting on a different subnet. With a directed boadcast your router will sends the packet to to correct network ex: 192.168.1.x/24. Then every host on the subnet would look at the broadcast. The router will not send the broadcast out to any other...
