Press F11, right click on the menu bar at top. If it isn't there, hold your mouse up there a sec. Right clicking gives you the option to customize. I'm not sure if you wanted this, and I don't mean to insult you if you already knew that, but that's all I can think of.
That sounds like Nazi coroprate america to me. Just thought I'd cheer you up a bit.
The only two ways I know to fix that are to:
1) Use Netscape
2) Take a large, heavy, sledge hammer to the proxy
If that doesn't work or is to inconvenient, take two advil :-)
What are you doing when it happens, what happens after it pops up, is it in the standard windows fatal exception box?
My mom seems to have a lot of fatal exceptions on word also, but the computer just doesn't like her. Have you tried reinstalling word or office or whichever? Are there other...
I used to have litestep, and then I reformatted. I really liked the whole virtual desktop idea where you could have several desktops you could switch between, and I heard you could do this with explorer too, and I was wondering if anyone knew how.
We're trying to do software and hardware inventory at our school. My friend and I have to help with this as it is part of our "tech support" class in school. This is very boring so naturally, we are searching for a better way to do it.
We decided to make a program to get the...
I don't know if this will help, but I think you might be able to use an ActiveX control to do this. Active X controls are so insecure they might let you get away with it. I don't know any easier ways. You also might be able to use vb script in the page, I've never done it, but you could try...
Okay I guess I'll try that. I need the computer to be on the school network more importantly, so I guess I'll just mess around with it until I get it. Thanks. Maybe I'll try and reinstall also, I always liked that part :)
Okay, one teacher at my school has a problem. Whenever she types a math test and inserts equations it won't let her save it anymore. She even tried inserting equations on a different computer and it still did it. She also tried ctrl-alt-deleting out of other programs.
Yeah, that's usually how I feel. But I checked another printer out in the chooser (Color StyleWriter) and it had a selection for printer port and modem port. Do you still think I should reinstall?
That's what I did, but in the chooser, in the box where I select what printer I'd like to use, I have only network choices, no printer port or modem port choice like you normally have. In the Zones box I have no choice for that either (I wasn't really expecting to have one though).
So at this...
Okay, I'm stuck. I do tech support at my school and it's frustrating that I can't figure this out.
The art department has a "G3" in a case that says power pc. I dunno why they think it's a G3, but that's what they say it is so I'll believe it. Therefore, this computer has a modem...
Why do computer companies like HP and compaq put so much junk on their computers? At school we found compaqs with a shell made by compaq, why would they do that? And they give you that darn system fixerup cd where you pop it in and it reformats and everything. They should give out a copy of...
Another way to do this is with a power supply lock. You can get one at the hardware store probably. Maybe not allowing power to the cpu without a key is not what you are looking for though...
Ok, we have a win95 computer with problems. We have decided, however, that upgrading to win98 will solve these problems. How can we upgrade from 95 to 98 when we only have a full version cd of 98?
Check with the company if you can just buy a friggin Ethernet card. They got em at compusa and bestbuy and even target or walmart. They sell em online too. I'm no mac user, but this is what I'd do. It may end up cheaper in the long run (maybe).
