I have a maco that opens a document, copies a pre-defined block of text and then copies it into an active document. Is there a way for VB to open the doc being copied from without the user seeing it? i.e. in the background? Many thanks

Our meglomatic IT department are wanting to have 100% management over all users. There's no real problem with saving files to the network (apart from speed) but i'm more concerned about the temp files

We are soon to be upgraded to Windows XP Pro, with no write access to our hard drives. We are also, hopefully, to be upgraded to PS7. Does anyone no of any issues that may occur with PS (and illustrator 10 for that matter) which may occur with no write access to the hard drive? Many thanks

I've just discovered that when you PDF the document, word goes and chucks in all it's default styles for some reason!!

Thanks Anne. It's a real pain when it does that, for no apparent reason. You try and keep it simple, and it tries its hardest to make things complicated!!

When using the Style Drop down in the toolbar, is there a way for it to show only styles that are being used in a document. For example, It lists all the heading styles down to 9, which makes scrolling through a bit of a pain. Thanks
