TBH I think it's the memory drivers. I have a similar setup: A7N8X-DLX AMD XP2600+ 333FSB 2 x 512Mb PC2700 Crucial RAM NVidia Geforce 4 Ti4200 I had to increase my RAM voltage to 2.8v to get it to not fail on the MemTest86 tests.
