You people fail to look to the future.
Sure the India places aren't perfect yet. They've really just started in the last 2 years. Wait 10 years from now. I GUARANTEE you there will be almost no programming jobs in the US. Definataly none for more that $10/hour.
Thanks. The cisco link says to get back to the main screen click the "show topology" button, but I dont remember seeing that button.
On one of the questions I did try telneting to another router, but the routers didn't have conectivity, thats what I was suppose to fix.
I just failed the ccna.
On the simulation questions where you have to configure 3 routers, I would click on one of them, and get the terminal window, but then I couldn't move the window or close it to get to another router!
How do you do this. I'm pissed.
.
I used the cbtnuggets ccna videos. I think they were really good, but I found it hard to find the time to watch the videos. I think it ended up taking me 6 months to get through them all!
They're good in that they'll talk to you about concepts on a whiteboard, and then they'll jump into a...
I have a client that has 1 server. It’s a PDC running NT4 and exchange5.5.
They just bought a new windows 2000 server and want to migrate from the old server to the new one(they want the old server gone).
Any ideas?
I know how to migrate a NT4 PDC to a Windows 2000 DC. And I know how to...
Anyone get browolf's script to run? When I run it, it says the syntax is incorrect. I tried taking out the ^ symbol, and then it says the | is unexpected at this time.
I found a user here using it when I did a recent portscan.
What I did is I connected remotely to his computer, opened up a few .ini and .dll files and deleted some lines of code from them. Then I set the file permision for administrators full, and his username explicidly denied.
I figure that...
You guys might be right.
But I'm thinking how many programmers will be put out of work when linux starts taking over the desktop.
How many people will be put out of work when open office takes hold.
What software will be made free next? How many people will it put out of work?
I dont think it really matters since we're talking about software in the future that doesn't exist yet. Whether the source is open or not, its that fact that its free that is the problem.
Right now, companies aren't use to asking the question 'is there a free version of this'. I think 5 years from now, that question will be asked daily. Thats the difference.
Once they start asking that question, people are not going to be willing to pay for pre-made software.
.
Compaired to Microsoft or any other major software maker, no. The reason is redhat doesn't make software. They modify someone else source code. I don't see it taking more than 5-10 people to do that. The rest of their staff is probably beta testers, support staff, and marketing.
Exactally...
I just read microsofts SEC filing where they stated that open source is a threat to their business model, and it made me think.
If open source wins, will there be no more high paying computer programming jobs? Will CS majors be out of luck unless willing to work for free?
The biggest selling...
I use this. It works relativly well. Just connect to your TS box, start the program, then start the program on your client box, and drag the files you want to transport into the little box.
