Hmmm, maybe it's something to do with the DOS box,although I can't really see why,if it's on the desktop under windows(ie.the command box) maybe you'll have to get a "print screen" prog,i think irfanview will do it,if not there are plenty available.

Try CTRL+SHIFT+Print Screen then control V in Paint that should do it.

While mucking about I deleted the link button "show desktop" that sits in the quick launch taskbar. When I restored it via the norton protected recycle bin,it no longer works. How can I get the original icon back? Thanks for your help.
