I have TSM 5.3 server running on AIX 5.2 (planning to upgrade to 5.3). Diskpools and TSM database and recovery log are all on JFS2 filesystems. Diskpools reside on a DS4300, database and logs on a DS6800 with a local 'mirror'.
What are the best mount options for those filesystems. Performance...
Thanks for the reaction. Today I was in contact with IBM lab: they are working on fixes but they advised me to ignore the errors as long as there is no significant performance reduction.
IBM Support confirms that fileset bos.mp64 at level 5.3.0.40 should solve the problem, but they also mention 5.3.0.50.
IBM lab has been asked to deliver an e-fix (untill we upgrade to 5.3 TL05).
I have the error on one of our systems also. IBM rpeorts another fix IY78131, on http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IY78131
However the specified APAR is already appl;ied on the system with AIX 5300-04-CSP.
I'm using Tivoli Storage Manager. The Exchange client can be told to restore data from another node/host. So:
- we have a 'restore server' with Exchange, a RSG and pleny of disk space
- we tell the backup-client to act as 'some other node'
- the storage group or database of 'some other node' is...
We finally figured it out! Using the non-delivery reports you can re-send e-mails, to any account.
Procedure:
1. all NDR are sent to a 'postmaster' mailbox
2. the postmaster's e-mail is scanned for important mails
3. for these mails a correct recepient is determined
4. NDR-mail is opened and...
All three can be run during normal working hours. We only got it trouble when we had the Suite Replication Service start synchronizing Exchange 5.5 with A.D. Make sure you have proper backups, that your A.D sites are configured well and that you have installed Exchange 2003 SP1.
Turn off one of...
Do you have sufficient rights for that action (for example: did you start the System Manager using your own account). Check inheritance of administrative rights. Succes.
With that option I just get a copy of the Non-Delivery-Report (NDR), but not the original mail that could not be delivered.
I want to turn off sending non-delevirey reports to prevent getting spam, but I want to be able to check if the message should be delivered to another account in our...
On http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/evaluation/overview/default.mspx#EEAA Microsoft states the scalable architecture of Exchange 2003:
"Up to 16 terabytes per mailbox database and up to 20 mailbox databases per server"
Is it possible in Exchange 2003 to have a copy of all mail to non-existing e-mail addresses send to a mailbox or public folder. We had this configured in 5.5. NDR's are already sent to a mailbox, but not a copy of the original mails. Thanks.
This works great:
- Install another Exchange 2003 server
- have your backup softare backing up the Exchange Storage Groups
- setup backup-client in 2nd server to restore backups from 1st server into Recovery Storage Group (on 2nd server)
- restore Storage Groups from there to Storage Groups on...
You're not the only one: we have a public folder where mails from an Unix machine is received as a post. Mail from outside is received as e-mail. Same e-mails from Unix to a mailbox is received as e-mail as well.
