Convert MS Word table to spaced text

Gah! you are right, not sure what happened in my previous experiments. Spacing of the pipe chars (|) doesn't matter. A star to FuzziusNavus, and I hang my head in shame :) www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk

Convert MS Word table to spaced text

Hi, thanks for the replies. The text length will vary considerably so this may be too tricky to implement. The wiki part is fairly straightforward - the wiki takes plain text formatted appropriately, and turns it into an HTML table. For an example, please see...

Convert MS Word table to spaced text

Hello all, I'd like to change a few tables in MS Word to spaced out text, to put on a wiki. Word XP only seems to allow converting to tab-delimited text, where a tab (or another character) separates columns. I'd like something more like this: ^ Heading 1 ^ Heading 2 ^ Heading 3 ^ |...

PC not detecting new 160 Gig hard drive.

FAQ 4 on this page: http://www.48bitlba.com/faq.htm#FAQ4 ...suggests overlays are a workaround if the BIOS is limited to 137GB, but are not recommended. My old machine had such a BIOS (dated 2000 i think) and I used Maxtor's overlay to add a big drive. Worked eventually, but became a pain to...

PC not detecting new 160 Gig hard drive.

I have had similar problems with large disks on old mobos. Most drives should have a jumper setting to limit the apparent size to <137GB, which the BIOS can detect. You then use an overlay to allow access to the whole drive. These overlay solutions (e.g. EZ-BIOS) are not without their problems...

    Room booking in shared calendar

Hello all, I'm new to GroupWise, I'm a user trying to help out my department, and I've found this site very helpful in the past on other matters. So... I work in a department of about 30 staff, who share 4 busy clinic rooms. They currently book them on paper, but as all have accesss to...

PGP from VB app - costs $15,000

Hi Bill, Is this the sort of thing GnuPG could do? www.gnupg.org Regards, Ben www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk

what version of PGP to use now

PGP Desktop 8.1 is the current version which should support Outlook/Exchange. The free version does not have the plugins for Outlook, so en/de-cryption is done using the PGPtray application. This works for any application (Outlook included) but is not as handy as having the plugins. Hope this...

    What should I buy?

I use GnuPG on windows and it basically behaves exactly as the linux versions. It's very stable but development is steady and bugs are squished pretty quickly. A bit of scripting will of course be needed but it can be made to do all sorts. You can buy support if you like but I've no experience...

    SFTP server for Windows?

On closer inspection, Bitvise's WinSSHD is for NT, 2K or XP only, so in this case I can't run it. Bah! www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk

    SFTP server for Windows?

Thanks for the suggestions PAndersen, The first one is worth a look, the second is running via CygWin, which in this case I want to avoid. There don't seem to bee any free (monetary sense) servers for windows, as far as I can tell, unless running on CygWin cheers, Ben www.pollinger.org.uk...

    SFTP server for Windows?

Hello all, Can anyone suggest a SFTP server for Windows? I am using Filezilla as my (S)FTP client, but the Filezilla server does not yet include SFTP support. I am aware of various options running on Cygwin, but wondered if there's a decent native Win32 server around. cheers, Ben...

    problem with pgp8.0 mail

Without a 'Personal' licence, the plugins for Outlook will not work, although they do install. With the freeware version, you can simply use the PGPtray functions. These are very easy to use, and you can assign keyboard shortcuts to the functions like sign and encrypt. www.pollinger.org.uk...

    Laptop memory upgrade - compatibility?

Hi folks and thanks for your comments. I want to check, aside from the risks of quality of memory, how interchangeable memory modules are. I.e. should any reliable SODIMM module meeting the above specs work? www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk

New XP install, can't login cos "domain does not exist"

    Laptop memory upgrade - compatibility?

Hello all, I have an old laptop - a Compaq Armada 1550T. It only has 32 MB memory, but space for another 64 MB If I can get this memory cheap, it'd be worth doing, but I'm not sure about compatability of memory in laptops. Crucial (www.crucial.com) sell a specific upgrade for £32, but can I...

New XP install, can't login cos "domain does not exist"

dwarthan - thanks for your suggestion but as I said, there is no netowrk connection, just a dial up 56k modem. MSEDDE - I will try this as soon as I can, thanks www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk

New XP install, can't login cos "domain does not exist"

There is no domain box. It defaults to the 'friendly' login screen, showing the available usernames with daft pictures. When I exit this using ctrl-alt-del, there is no domain section in the 'proper' login dialog box. www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk

New XP install, can't login cos "domain does not exist"

Yes, I tried that. Same error message. The error seems to be saying that it can't connect to a domain, so I think the password thing may be a red herring. Or would an incorrect password give the same message, if a domain did exist? www.pollinger.org.uk www.psyclick.org.uk
