Hello!
I've searched the forums but came up empty - perhaps I didn't phrase the terms correctly. At any rate I’m wondering if there is any way to export/convert the QuickCorrect list from WP12 to a text or csv file. Does anyone have any insight as to how I might accomplish this? I’m not that...
I am checking the FAQ for this section, but I'm not finding the answer just yet. I upgraded to from Exchange 2K Standard to 2K Enterprise on Friday and everything seems OK. I get 1217 event log messages indicating that there is no limit on either priv or pub edb files and that’s exactly what I...
Are you adding a printer to the terminal server physically, or is it a networked printer? If it's a networked printer you can add the printer to each of the workstations that connect to the terminal server and add the driver to the server (open the printers folder, click on file - server...
It depends on what you want to do with your machine. If you want to use it as a management machine, W2K pro works just fine. I don't think you would gain much by making it a server. If you want to manage your network, then install the adminpak.exe from the i386 directory of a W2K server cd...
Howdy,
This may (or may not) help. If you have an existing certificate %certname%.cer, you can import it on the computer that needs it by either right clicking on it and selecting import or double clicking it (I can't remember which, though it's one of the two methods above). Also, take a...
Thanks Wolfgang. I would also recommend adding the Everyone group and giving them full control. This, along with the excellent information from Wolfgang, should help you.
I agree Wolfgang. The best part of WP is that it gives users total control of the document. Also (having taken a little...
What a dork, I completely misunderstood. Duh (see? comes in handy). If you do what you mentioned, you may have to go into the BIOS and tell it to look to the IDE channel for bootable HDD's. For example, set the Boot Priority menu to look to the IDE channel first. If you're adding a fifth...
I think I'm understanding what you want. First, he'll have to back up his data (I know, that sounds like a bonehead statement, should be followed with something intelligent like: duh; but you'd be surprised at how often people don't back stuff up) and then break the stripe.
I don't know for...
I figured out basically the same thing, however, I added the Everyone group (with Full Access rights) as opposed to the Domain Users group. That seems to have cleared any problems. Frankly, I found the entire exercise particularly annoying. However, I believe that if you switch to the...
This is for anyone that may run into the same problem. I've figured it out, finally, and it's really dumb. First logon to the machine as an administrator and print something from Word Perfect, anything, doesn't matter. Then, find two files. They are: PFP80JCM.{PB and PFP80JPR.{PB Once...
I'm not 100% sure, but since a Scheduled Task does generally require some method of authentication in W2K, you might want to try the /interactive switch, that way the task will run using the credentials of the person currently trying to run it.
I hope this helps.
Yup, all you have to do is, as you said, logon to the network using an ID with admin rights, right click on My Computer and select manage, then expand Local Users and Groups. Once there, go into the Users folder, right click on Administrator and select Set Password.
Hope this helps.
Let me preface this by noting that I'm not that conversant with WordPerfect in the first place. I am working on a W2K Pro build that will be rolled out to a few hundred users and I can't figure out this printing problem. Initially I received a "Can't initialize" error message when...
