Is there any way to monitor/verify all ethernet ports on a switch?
I know we can go and perform the "get ethernet" command to check each specific one.
Is there any way to test all of them? Maybe an error or alarm that shows a speed/duplex mismatch?
display errors.. look for a 513 error

Are there any experts on the IMS suite? I am having some config issues, and might need a nudge in the right direction.
1- How can I change the building in Fault and Performance Manager?
2- We are pulling no inventory from any LSP sites. Does anyone have any quick tips to test that config...
I already tried...set to "y"
remember, it works on a digital or IP station.
by the way, it is one trunk group..inbound DID..outbound local..
-or-
inbound DID, parked call, and a returned page on inbound DID.
I have a situation where all our consoles can't perform an "unsupervised conference".
The preferred scenerio is this:
A caller calls from the outside..gets the operator, and requests to be connected to another outside line. The operator parks the first caller, calls the second...

that is almost exactly what we have done for acces issues... used uniform dialplan to mask the number, and then assigned it in the group speed dial that we use for paging...if the station is allowed to page...just give it that speed dial group, and use the same feature access...
THEN, if you...
We have a group of phones that access paging via a loop start trunk port. Occasionally the trunk will hang open, making the paging busy when noone is using it. Can someone tell me how to impose a disconnect timer on the trunk line? (after 2 minutes, for example). I've tried using a COR with...
not really..it was more of a quick reference....tries this 3 times, then escalates... it was an AVAYA document, I think..
for example, a memory leak would be a level one reset...try 3 times..then go to a level 2 if not resolved...and so on up to level 4.
I used to have a document that showed the processes that the definity went through to resolve errors/alarms... it was pretty informative and told how the system would see a problem, and perform the proper process to attempt to fix the problem..if it didn't fix it, it would up the ante and try...
