    Ethernet Port Status

Is there any way to monitor/verify all ethernet ports on a switch? I know we can go and perform the "get ethernet" command to check each specific one. Is there any way to test all of them? Maybe an error or alarm that shows a speed/duplex mismatch?

    Paging Disconnect

that is almost exactly what we have done for acces issues... used uniform dialplan to mask the number, and then assigned it in the group speed dial that we use for paging...if the station is allowed to page...just give it that speed dial group, and use the same feature access... THEN, if you...

    Paging Disconnect

We have a group of phones that access paging via a loop start trunk port. Occasionally the trunk will hang open, making the paging busy when noone is using it. Can someone tell me how to impose a disconnect timer on the trunk line? (after 2 minutes, for example). I've tried using a COR with...

    error/alarm escalation document

this was more of an automated process...what the switch does to try to clear alarms, not a manual process.
  18. phoneguy2286

    error/alarm escalation document

not really..it was more of a quick reference....tries this 3 times, then escalates... it was an AVAYA document, I think.. for example, a memory leak would be a level one reset...try 3 times..then go to a level 2 if not resolved...and so on up to level 4.

    error/alarm escalation document
