Error code E6300 Windows NT scsi
E6300 errors were only solved when I replaced the tape drive (Sony SDX-400c). I had upgraded the firmware, Arcserve had exclusive access, was using the Adaptec's, Sony's drivers for the SCSI, Tape drive. New tape drive also solved problems of several "bad" tapes. Took three sessions...- Larryd

Error 5042 "receive time out" when backing up NT Client
Issue resolved. Service pack 5 for NT Workstation, and editing registry as per Arcserve's help for NT Client backup did it.- Larryd

Error 5042 "receive time out" when backing up NT Client
This used to work our Novell 4.10 server. I've tried Arcserve's tips for this error except for "check routers and other hardware problems". set timeout params to the max in spxconfg. Yes I'm using 512 Kbyte packets to communicate with WS Agent. There is no network broadcast message...- Larryd
