Is there a way to distibute IE 6 to clients via the SUS server? I looked in the list on my SUS server and that one install is not there. It appears as a critical update if you do a manaual windows update from the clients though. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Wes
Good Afternoon,
I posted this a bit back but was hoping someone had a solution since then. I am using Windows 2000 Server with Terminal Server and Word XP and when a user logs into the machine to MS Word XP it pops up for EVERY user about document recovery and when you go to delete them it...
Good Morning,
I am administering an Active Directory from my Win XP sp 1a box and when I
try to add users or groups to anything (GPO, sharing permissions, ect.) it
looks a lot different than from a WIN 2000 box. It does not give you a nice
window to choose groups or users. You have to type...
I am having a weird issue. I installed the windows 2003 adminpak to my Windows XP SP1 computer. Everything seems to fine except there are things that are not showing up when I try to edit or create a GPO. For example, when I went to create some folder redirections in user config/windows...
I use the setup you described and it works great! The only thing you cannot do is FORCE SSL on the box. What I did to get around this was to just redirect through IIS, all clients from the NFUSE.htm page to go to the page https://something.anything.com/Citrix/MetaFrameXP and this works...
Hi All,
I put this out the other day, but I am having some "interesting" problems that are hard to explain. Here goes:
When I launch Outlook XP on all but one computer, everything looks fine, including the icon on my taskbar. But on my one computer the icon looks all garbled and distorted on...
Also, one more piece to this is. Once the data is imported to the Excel I need the user to then be able to input new data to the Excel spreadsheet and then push the changes back to the database. How should I do that?

Good Afternoon. I hope someone can help me with this. I working on a project for a client in which they have an existing Excel Spreadsheet that has about 8 fields with about 700 rows of data. I have another user that is storing data into a Access database, and I want this data to be able to...
Thanks. Yes, this is on Windows 2000 server, with about 15 users that log onto it on a regular basis. There is a normal.dot for each user, but I am not quite sure if it was the normal.dot why each auto rocver would be the same. Every user is getting the SAME files popping up in the recovery...
Hi Again!
The files, as far as I can tell just say Document1, and whatever I try to do to them (open, save, delete) from the Recovery pane, it just gives me the same error (cannot open the document (document1)) and then gives another error 'cannot delete the file, cannot read from source file...
Thanks for the reply Gerry! Actually, this box is on a domain but multiple people log into it. I have looked in the path where Word states auto recovered files go and there is nothing. I have searched the whole computer for any temp files and deleted them. The weird thing is this, the...
I am having a weird issue everytime a user launches word xp on this one perticular computer. First it starts with Document2 instead of Document1 and it brings up the Autorecovery pane on the left with Document1 as one of the recovered documents. But the weird thing is when I try to either...
Good Morning,

It is a networked computer, but not a member of a domain. It is connected to a Linksys router and then through a cable modem.
Also, thanks for the tip about the registry, I did a reinstall of XP overtop of an existing XP install and maybe the registry has a bunch of crap in it. Anything else...
Many time when I am deleting files in Win XP, it almost seems like my system is hanging and could take up to 30 seconds to delete even just 1 shortcut, why would this be? Like a said before it is many times on shortcuts that I see this delay and sometimes it is instantaneous. I am running Win...
