and no well maintained system should have any traf 15 extensions :)
Apart from testing purposes of course, these are the types of things which allow fraud to take place. TCMAP a culprit too.
would be good to know the ROF affected. I'd heard about this problem, but I'd never experienced the problem myself.
It does seem odd that it's more prolific with SDH connections, the frame structure should be the same for any G.703
I don't think the ELU31s should be related to PCM slips, as the ring sync is to keep the ELU31s within the same base station group in sync - not the LIMs.
How do the remote LIMs connect to the GSM? Has the network provider done checks to ensure there are no issues?
Is it intermittent? Does the...
Depends how you have it currently setup, but in essence you are going to:
Add to NADAP as ED (NANSI:NUMTYP=ED,NUMSE=XXXX;)
Add to LCR as PNR number (LCDDI:TAB=PNR,ENTRY=XXXX,FRCT=YYYY;)
Add route choice if necessary (LCDDI:TAB=RCT,FRCT=YYYY,PRE=ZZZZ;)
This PRE will normally then be an RODDI...
Why not just give those extensions a non-display digital phone?
Who am I to question the customer, but it seems an odd request to want to restrict the CLI display in reverse from normal requests.
You cannot telnet anymore in later versions of firmware, you must use SSH.
Use something like puTTY to connect and you will be fine, as long as you are ok with VxWorks commands
NADAP:NUMTYP=CD;
Look for 16 in the table
If you want to remove it from being diallable for anyone do
NACDR:NUM=16;
If you only wanted to bar it for some people, you would specify the CDCATs you want to remove it for
It should be the same for AXE and MD110, apart from the command syntax.
So, if you wanted to enter the DTSTP command every 10 seconds for example:
@D START
dtstp:dip=dig345;
@T 10
@J START
Hope this helps
IPURI is very inconsistent. We've had people use it to upgrade whole sites and wraths of phones are left on old firmware due to it.
The sure fire way to ensure a phone cold boots is to power cycle it.
If via PoE switch, this is of course easy by bouncing the individual port, or the entire...
I have issues with Alex too when you search. If you search for certain terms, then click on the result, Alex will crash.
Admin or no admin this happens. Annoyingly.
daddy, appreciate you taking the time to respond, but please be constructive.
I never said it was an ordinary contended dsl circuit, and it seems you aren't fully familiar with the options available on UK DSL.
BT provide a 1:1 contended connection with an in span hanover to our ATM network, so...
Hey,
It's standard 512down/256up ADSL. Potentially something like SDSL would solve the problems, but it's cost inhibitive, and doesn't work over very long lines.
I'm intrigues about the historical problems you've had with BT links; are you talking about VoIP issues over ADSL, or just BT in...
I agree that bandwidth CAN be an issue in some circumstances guys, but what I am saying is that in this case it is most definitely not an issue.
CAC is in place to limit concurrent IP calls, and is in no danger of being breached.
I can replicate this problem by flooding the DSL connection...
I agree, it is all about proper network architecture, however throwing bandwidth at a problem is engineering around the problem.
For a bursty service like data, where the available bandwidth is more than adequate 95% of the time, it is wasteful to increase bandwidth.
Quality and bandwidth are...
But that wouldn't prevent calls from IP phone at site A going direct to IP phones at site B.
RE: QoS... I knew someone would say that! :-)
QoS is setup fine, we've found a potential anomoly on the performance of DSL ccts when heavily loaded in the up and downstreams at the same time.
QoS can...
I knew there wasn't an 'official' way of doing it, but I'm trying to figure out if there's a workaround, i.e. making endpoint codecs incompatible etc.
GW calls are much more tolerant of varying network conditions, and the VPU in the phone is not as good as the IPLU at handling excessive jitter...
