Thank you for the geat idea. The problem is resolved now. It turns out the storedge device has some shredded paper inside. I have to re-assemble the whole unit. Also found the bad hard drives are also causing the bus reset. After replacing that, I can access all the drives now...
I just got a new sun SCSI cable. However, still no luck. What I observed is when the os console show SCSI bus reset, the lights of the device went off along with hard drive shut down sound. Then hear hard drive reboot sound. Does this mean the device is bad?

The part # of the terminator I used is 150-2267. It's a SUN brand "27 line forced perfect terminator". According to sunsolve, that's the correct part number. I'm getting another sun SCSI cable now. Hope it resolves it.

The interesting things is when I tried to run the same scripts in Query Analyzer. The table was updated successfully. No warning and error message.

I tried to create a job containing only one step. In the first time, the T-SQL script is like this:

The job was manually triggered and scheduled to run. It run successfully. In the second time, the script to run is like following:
