I ran spybot, adaware, (my norton coporate edition virus scan), and ie repair. Still doesn't work. This does not happen on every website. But most of them. I can download from MS but not compaq, dell, etc.

When I go to download a file my internet explorer just starts clicking a hundred miles an hour and will not stop until I end task. I just upgraded from IE 5.5 and it did the same thing. I am running windows 2000. I tried downloading under another profile but the same thing happens. Any clues?

When i try to open the out of office assistant a window pops up with the error "the command is not available see product documentation about how to use th extensions". I have reinstalled office but that did not fix this issue. Any ideas?

That is the little grey upside down brackets that are in each corner. When I uncheck "Text Boundaries" the 4 lines that go between the corners disappear but the 4 little brackets stay in each corner.

I deleted all the normal.dot files and unchecked the save normal template but the same thing happens. It creates a new normal.dot but it still has the l-brackets in all 4 corners. It still only does it under 1 user's profile.
