To those who offered explanations, suggestions and possible solutions I thank you for taking the time. If I offended anyone I apologize as it was not my intention. Rather, I was atempting to point out a situation that happens often on this site and possibly incite some solution for it.
To those...
Why didn't someone say this in the first place?
I am not a professional, I am, as many here who post, a novice. I've never presented myself as anything more.
I always do a complet search of the site before posting anything, since I usually spot something close to my own question already...
I don't need help with MSWord. I need help with automating merging an ACCESS table with a Word letter document (I've already done ALL the work in Word and Access). I need help developing a code or macro that does the merge automatically instead of the user doing it mannually.
But thanks for...
So many replys! I must have hit a nerve. While I have asked for help on this site before, it has been no more or less in amount or detail than most who use this site. While my request may have appeared like it was a lot, had anyone bothered to reply to my original question I would have had the...
Last week I posted a question on this site which has been totally blown off. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I've noticed as I've searched other threads that people's questions are not being addressed in a timely mannor or at all.
I find this very problematic as this site...
I have a two-part question.
My data base is set up to track donations from individual members. One table collects relevant informaition on the donor (ie: name, address, etc..) then I have individual tables set up for each different donation event (ie: general donation, capital campaign, direct...
This is my second posting on this and I really need help on this one, if it can't be done, at least let me know..
I have a report that displays the demographics and services of my clients. Table1 holds the demographics and Table2 holds the services. The report generates the current information...
I have a report that displays the demographics and services of my clients. Table1 holds the demographics and Table2 holds the services. The report generates the current information based on starting/ending dates. While I've been able to create individual sub-reports for the demographics (ie...
I have a main form; Client File, the linked subforms are on individual tabs in the main form. All forms are linked by the PK "ClientID".
What's happening is that when I finish filling out the last field of the main form and hit the tab key on my key board, the all of the fields clear...
Does anyone have a solution to this? I'm having a similar problem. I keep running into this on this forum, I find my problem, but no one's bothered to address it
I have created a main form with a tab subform. On each tab is a subform. Each subform has the ClientID field linked. The main form and the first subform use the same mother table as the record source. The other subforms use child tables with the ClientID (text field) as the linked field...
Thanks, but what I did instead (after experimenting)is added a header, which pushed the whole thing down and moved the subform around inside the tab-page itself until the upper ruler of the subformed dissapeard. That's seemed to work.
Thanks anyways for responding and follwing up.
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. What happens is when the main form loads, it defaults to the subform and so the tabs get lost at the top margin forcing the user to scroll to the top of the form in order to see the tab. Someone opening the form for the first time wouldn't see the tabs or...
I've created a form using tabs for my subforms. My problem is that when the form is opened the subform takes up the screen and unless you know to use the vertical bar you can't see the tabs.
What I want is for the tabs to appear on the screen without having to scroll for them in order to see...
This sounds useful, but I'm wondering about the goto Macro. Where does this get placed (in the form on open?)and what is the Macro "going to" if the form is already opened?
Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it!
Thanks for your suggestions, however, it didn't work. Perhaps its because the form is attached to a parameter query. What happens is that when someone attempts to use the search form, its the query paramater that pops up asking for a date. If there is no id matching, then all the user gets is...
The form is linked to all the queries that make up the subreports on the main report.
the criteria on each of the 14 queries has the following code:
Between [Forms]![frmSelectDate]![txtStartDate] And [Forms]![frmSelectDate]![txtEndDate]
The form uses the following code:
Private Sub...
