Thank you for your insight. The reason for us moving to Exchange (believe me I have kicked and screamed all I can) is because of the Exchange out of the box "CLAIM" to interop with everything and anything and that application developers are all making their apps compatible with...

To the best of my knowledge there isn't a way to access an archive from a CD. It would have to be copied to a hard drive or network drive from the CD. I think this is because you cannot write to a CD drive on the fly.
Has that changed?
Has anybody out there been on a team that has migrated 5,000 users gloabally from a Novell/GroupWise environment to AD/Exchange environment? Would you like to share that experience with a team about to embark on the same adventure?
Thanks!
Thank you khWingra for confirming that Wingra is supports Groupwise 6.
Can you give any insight as to what hurdles we might face that are not so obvious?
Try removing the proxy and granting proxy again.
Are you running a mixed GW version?
GW6 Client cannot proxy into 5.5 backend but 5.5 client can proxy into a 6 backend.
Is Wingra Compatable with GroupWise 6?
Did you ever have a migration where the company did not want to migrate any data and kept the GroupWise client to view history in a remote mailbox?
Benefits:
* Ability to start with a clean system
* Institute new email policies i.e. Mailbox Limits...
Thank you very much for your insight. I agree it is going to be an enlightening technical experience.
We are currently running a Netware 4.x and 5.x backend for file/print. Many of our applications are running on NT/2000. I recently finished upgrading about 35 domains to GW 6. My portion of the...
My company is probably going to be moving to Exchange 2000 within the next year. I am having a tough time coping with the decision. I have supported GroupWise for about 6 years and feel it is a solid product. I guess I fear the unknown with Exchange and am sad that Novell will be losing another...
We have a similar issue, we reinstalled the printer driver to no avail. We have narrowed it down to email coming from a specific user who is not on GW6.
I still need to check the client version of the sender. I updated that user's client will resolve the issue.
We are successfully running 3 PO's & MTA's on W2K. The only issue we experienced was that we needed to DESELECT the NDS synchronization option because the MTA would itself down every night. The service did restart without issue but we did not want the MTA to be down so we disabled NDS...
Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think I would get anything because the post because your post was from last March so I reposted in another thread.
We did re-install the printer driver but did not change the windows font. I will have to try changing the font. We are using GW6 sp2.
I posted the same question in another thread but felt since it was buried I would repost to a new thread. Hope that is not against the rules.
I have a user with GW 5.5 ep who prints in Arabic when she chooses the enhanced driver for her HP 6p printer. We basically told her not to use the...
I have had 2 user's who have arabic printing as well. One user was using 5.5ep and the other upgraded from EP to 6.0 and then experienced the arabic printing.
Any ideas on how to correct this issue???
