How does the operating system differentiate between modification time and access time?? I think in my case, I want to use modification time as an option. I interpret that as last time...

Here's my situation...I have ssh setup on my ultra 1 running solaris 8...I also have TCP-wrappers on this machine...first, how do I log all sshd connectivity to the syslog?? Second, how do I have wrappers also protect my ssh connections like it does with ftp and telnet??
The volume on the PC is turned down...when I go to listen to something, I turn up the volume on the PC (volume control) but the volume gradually turns itself all the way down...I've never seen anything like it...
